Messy Market, Bowerchalke
“Messy Market” provides craft activities based around a Bible theme, and is particularly suitable for the primary school age-group.
It meets monthly in a side-room of the village hall at Bowerchalke on a Saturday morning, while the weekly village market is taking place in the main hall. It is a drop-in event, running from 9:30am to 11:30am. Come and go as you please… note, however, that there is little point in joining the activity after 11am as there will not be time to finish craft projects.
Parents/responsible adults are expected to remain on-site, though they are welcome to shop in the market or use the café facilities in the main hall whilst their children take part in Messy Market.
Dates vary according to the availability of volunteers: the next one is scheduled for March 18th 2017.
There is no charge.
Messy Church, Nunton
Messy Church provides craft activities based around a Bible theme, which are then followed by a simple act of worship in church and then a lunch for the children. It is particularly suitable for the primary-school age-group and under-fives… not all activities are suitable for all ages.
Messy Church meets in the Barker Room at Nunton (the church hall), for one morning during each half-term or holiday. It does not usually meet in the Summer holidays, as we encourage attendance at “Treasure Hunters” instead. Timing is 10am – 12 noon, and we prefer you to attend the whole session. Parents or other responsible adults are expected to remain with their children.
Dates vary according to the availability of volunteers, but are typically the first Monday of each holiday and half-term (Tuesday where the Monday is a bank holiday). The next one is scheduled for 10th April 2017.
There is no charge, but voluntary donations are welcome.
